We invite you to a professional oral hygiene session with ClinPro at the "Kiadent" dental clinic located on Tiraspolskaya Street 12. Each client receives an X-ray and a treatment plan for dental and gum diseases.
At our clinic, the ClinPro procedure is performed by an experienced dental hygienist and allows in just 30 minutes to:
- Remove soft deposits and pigmented plaque;
- Gently clean the subgingival area with minimal risk of soft tissue damage;
- Clean hard-to-reach places for patients wearing orthodontic devices;
- Prepare the oral cavity for professional teeth whitening, prosthetics, or implant placement.
ClinPro professional hygiene is a minimally invasive, painless, and comfortable method for preventing caries and gum disease.
What Is ClinPro Professional Hygiene, and How Does It Work?
ClinPro teeth cleaning is performed using a mixture of air, water, and glycine powder delivered under pressure from a dental device. This effectively removes soft plaque and bacterial films from the enamel surface. To consolidate the results, the teeth are additionally polished with a remineralizing paste and coated with a protective varnish.
The cleaning powder used is ClinPro Glycine Prophy Powder, developed by the American dental giant 3M ESPE. Unlike other air-abrasive systems that use sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), this powder has a different composition and smaller particle size. It is based on the water-soluble amino acid glycine, which makes it gentler on tooth enamel and less likely to injure gums.
The effectiveness and safety of using Glycine Prophy Powder for professional oral hygiene and periodontal pocket cleaning have been confirmed by numerous scientific studies.
Who Is This Technology Suitable For?
ClinPro professional oral hygiene is suitable for patients to:
- Remove soft and pigmented plaque;
- Clean braces, orthodontic appliances, and implants;
- Sanitize the tooth root in periodontal pockets up to 4 mm deep (for early-stage periodontitis);
- This technology is also used to clean teeth in children from the age of 4, provided the child can avoid swallowing the working liquid.

- Consultation with a dentist
- Professional oral hygiene (removal of hard deposits using ultrasound, cleaning with ClinPro powder, polishing with pastes, and applying a protective varnish)
Procedure Stages
1. Step. Consultation and Examination
You come to any of our clinic locations in Moscow for an initial consultation and examination (this service is free). The dentist assesses the oral cavity’s condition and prepares a treatment plan. If this is your first visit, you will fill out a patient card beforehand.
2. Step. Removal of Tartar and Tooth Polishing
Before air-abrasive treatment, the dentist removes hard tartar using an ultrasonic scaler with water delivery. If the patient does not have hard deposits, ultrasonic cleaning is not required.
The surface of the teeth is polished using Clinpro™ Prophy Paste, a fluoride abrasive paste with a fruity-berry flavor. This removes embedded food stains from the enamel. The level of paste abrasiveness is selected depending on the amount of dental deposit.
3. Step. ClinPro Cleaning
The dental arch is cleaned using an air-polishing device that sprays a mixture of water, air, and abrasive particles onto the teeth under pressure. The cleaning is performed at an angle, directing the mixture from the gum line toward the cutting edge of the tooth. If necessary, periodontal pockets are also treated.
4. Step. Tooth Surface Polishing
The tooth enamel is polished with pastes to reduce the likelihood of future plaque buildup.
5. Step. Remineralization and Fluoridation
Finally, the teeth are coated with Clinpro™ White Varnish containing tricalcium phosphate to reduce tooth sensitivity and remineralize the enamel.
After the procedure, the dental hygienist will explain the rules of at-home oral care to the patient.
Recommendations After the Procedure
After a professional cleaning, it is recommended to:
- Replace your toothbrush with a new one, preferably an electric toothbrush;
- Use remineralizing toothpaste to restore the enamel structure;
- For two days after the procedure, rinse your mouth with an antiseptic solution (saltwater, hydrogen peroxide, or pharmacy mouthwash);
- Follow a "white diet" (for 1 day).
Possible Contraindications
- Allergic reactions to the components of the product.
- Inflammatory gum diseases in the acute stage.
Among the limitations for ClinPro cleaning—stubborn plaque, especially in smokers (in this case, Air Flow cleaning may be more suitable).
Questions and Answers
- How often can the procedure be repeated?
During orthodontic treatment or periodontal treatment, hygiene cleaning can be repeated every 3 months. For preventive purposes, it is recommended to clean plaque every six months.
- Does ClinPro whitening teeth?
After the procedure, teeth may be lightened by 1-3 shades due to the removal of food stains and pigmented spots. For a more noticeable effect, professional teeth whitening or photo teeth whitening is recommended.
- ClinPro or AirFlow: What's the Difference?
Both procedures belong to air-abrasive cleaning. The difference is that Air Flow uses a more abrasive sodium bicarbonate-based powder.
Which technology is better? It depends on the clinical situation: Air Flow is better for cleaning stubborn deposits, while ClinPro is gentler on teeth and soft tissues.
